Soviet and Ukrainian writer, playwright, scriptwriter, editor.
In 1971-1977 he studied at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
In 1988 he graduated from the Higher Theatrical Courses at the Russian University of Theatrical Art.
In the 1990s he was deputy editor of the humoristic newspaper "Blin" (the first in Ukraine).
In 1991 he became a laureate of the first festival "MORE SMEHA" named after Arkady Raikin (Riga, 1991) with V. Shenderovich and A. Novichenko.
In 1993 he founded in the newspaper "Kievskie vedomosti" humoristic department - "Golokhvastov's Club" (together with Jan Taksyur) and was its editor for eighteen years.
