Alfredas Chmieliauskas is one of the founders (2004) and president (2004-2015) of the Lithuanian Project Management Association. He holds an International Project Management Association (IPMA) Level A certificate and is an IPMA Authorized National Assessor. As a consultant and owner of a project management consulting firm, he provided training and consulting services to more than 250 business and public sector organizations.
Currently, he is also a member of the board of the Center for Strategic Analysis of the Lithuanian Government (STRATA).In recent years, Alfredo Chmieliauskas' research interests have focused on various aspects of project work in organizations. He and his colleagues received the ISM Research Team of the Year Award (2018) for publications in high-ranking international journals. He participated in a large-scale international research project led by prof. Ralf Muller from BI Norwegian Business School. This project won the IPMA award for the analysis of the phenomenon of balanced leadership in projects (2019)
