Professional Life Description: Between 1995 and 2001, Algirdas Bagdonavičius completed studies in management and business administration at the Faculty of Economics of Vilnius University and obtained a master's degree. Between 2001 and 2009, he studied solo singing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and obtained a license in arts (i.e., the degree of an aspirant). He says he studied with Professor Vytautas Juozapaitis.
Algirdas Bagdonavičius participated in the opera festivals "Oper Oder Spree" in Germany in 2005 and 2006. On April 30, 2006, he made his debut at the Meno Theatre, where he performed the role of Pilėnas in V. Klova's "Pilėnai" in the jubilee performance of the Lithuanian Opera in Chicago. Since 2006, he has been a soloist at the Panevėžys Musical Theatre, and since 2007, a guest soloist at the Klaipėda Musical Theatre. Since 2009, he has been teaching solo singing to students of Entertainment Stage Art and Music Theatre specialties at the Faculty of Arts of Vilnius College. He was a finalist in the "Triumphal Arch 2010" competition. Since 2011, he has been singing as a tenor and countertenor. On November 27, 2011, he became the second-place winner of the V International Chamber Singing Competition "Beatričė". Since 2012, he has been a soloist at the Baltic Chamber Opera Theatre, and since 2013, he has been a member of the Lithuanian Musicians' Association. Algirdas Bagdonavičius was awarded the status of a Creator of Arts on July 5, 2013. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Canto Fiorito International Early Music Ensemble. In 2015, he won an individual scholarship from the Lithuanian Council for Culture aimed at promoting countertenor singing in Lithuania. Since 2017, he has been a guest soloist at the Baroque Opera Theatre. Algirdas Bagdonavičius creates and performs various programs of early and contemporary music.

Algirdas Bagdonavičius has extensive experience performing works from various musical epochs and genres. His repertoire is wide-ranging and diverse - from the Renaissance to contemporary music, but he most often performs works from the Baroque era and sacred music. Algirdas Bagdonavičius is an actively performing singer who has performed in the United States, Italy, Germany, Romania, Sweden, Norway, Austria, and Slovenia. He has performed with European early music ensembles and performers: "Le Poème Harmonique," "Norwegian Cornett & Sackbuts," "Barokkanerne," "Musica Antiqua Salzburg," Andrew Lawrence-King, Maria Cristina Kiehr and Justus Frantz. Algirdas Bagdonavičius has also performed with Lithuanian orchestras, ensembles, and collectives, including the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, Canto Fiorito, Affectus, Arcadia Consort, Chordos, Concertino Luminoso, and others.
Algirdas Bagdonavičius speaks English, Russian, and German fluently, and Italian well.
