Theatre is an important part of my life. I have experienced a lot of emotions, experiences, and expertise in it. I have met many like-minded theatre lovers. I remember my first performance "Snow Queen" (1957), directed by my teacher Narkevičienė. That's when I felt the magic of the stage. Later (1963), the director of the Rokiškis People's Theatre, J. Kavoliūnas, entrusted me with the role of the doctor in the play "The Doctor from Halderberg". The role of the drunk driver who killed a man, played in the "Literary Trials" in Rokiškis, was like a sketch for the last and most prominent role of his life. This was already in 2017 in the Utena Chamber Theatre's performance "I can't do it for you", directed by Šarūnas Kunickas. But before that, in those decades, there were many spectacular, important, truly memorable roles. I had to try on the robes of a Priest, a Peasant, a Pristavas, a Gentleman, a Merchant, an unhappy widower. The role of partisan Dobilo in the play "Call Me Mother" directed by Ada Kunickienė was memorable. So 2017, I remember: the director Š. Kunickas called me at the homestead and offered me the role of Father in a production of a play he had written himself. Šarūnas spoke so sincerely and subtly, making it clear that he would not refuse, so I had to accept. That was the brightest chord in my acting life. Then I had to recall the experiences of the driver I played in my youth, who made a fatal mistake. To use all my theatrical experience and to experience on stage an infinite palette of feelings, emotions and images.
