obtained a bachelor's degree at JVLMA under professor Imants Sneibis and a master's
degree in chamber ensemble playing with professor Jānis Maļeckis.
The talented musician is a member of several ensembles: in the contemporary music
group Altera veritas, as well as in the urban folklore group "Gosti" and the ensemble
Breakfest for Four.
Andis is also a teacher at the Jāzeps Mediņš Music School, a musician of the professional brass
band "Rīga", the conductor of the mixed choir "Mārupe" of Mārupe and the artistic director of
the mixed choir "Suntaži".
It`s no wonder that the tireless musician's talent has received noteworthy recognition:
Andis is both Tina Orsi Anguissola Scotti, Val Tidone (Italy) of the International
Performers Competition, "Diena" newspaper's annual awards in culture and Laureate
of the Latvian Grand Music Award (2003, in the group Altera Veritas), and won an
award-winning place in CHAIN (6th Modern Music Competition) in Biel (Switzerland).
Andis Klučnieks regularly performs concerts in Latvia and abroad as part of various
music groups, cooperates with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta
Rīga Chamber Orchestra, Latvian Radio Choir, and State Academic Choir "Latvija".
