Bassoon player Andrius Puplauskis is a laureate of national and international competitions, performs as a soloist with orchestras and organizes solo recitals, plays with various chamber ensembles in Lithuania and abroad. Puplauskis' repertoire is wide, it can be heard playing baroque, classical, contemporary, pop, jazz, electronic music, or even improvising his own music with an electric bassoon. In 2009, he released the first solo bassoon music CD in Lithuania "FAGOTAS LIETUVIŠKAI", which collected the best examples of Lithuanian bassoon music. A. Puplauskis is the concertmaster of the bassoon group of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, St. Member of the Kristupas wind quintet, member of the ARS MUSICA ensemble, associate professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
