So, you can usually find me not on stage, but at the Theatre dressing room or the Theatre door. I was on the stage of the Utena Chamber Theatre only in one performance "The Witch Who Wanted to Dance" as Santa Claus. My acquaintance with the theatre in Utena began more than a quarter of a century ago (my wife Zita worked for a while as a designer at the Žaliaduonių Theatre). And we have known the director Šarūnas since childhood, kicking a ball together in the same backyard and wandering through the Aukštakalnis dirt road to school. When Šarūnas offered me to ride around Utena on a quad bike as one of the Three Kings in 2019, I didn't argue too hard. And so I came to the theatre, so to speak, as an actor. But it's not the acting, the performance on the stage that is the most important thing - it's the being together, the communication, the creation (the theatre renovation work was also creation). It's very nice to see the eyes of the audience leaving the Theatre, happy and teary with excitement or joy, and to wish them: good evening, see you again, see you next Friday.
