After graduating from Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatory and Vilnius Music School, from 1991 to 1994 he studied at the Salzburg Music School and, having received recognition, began working at the Salzburg choral society "Salzburger Liedertafel". In 2012, he became its artistic director and director. Due to his merits in saving the 166-year-old "Salzburger Liedertafel" choir, he was awarded the Michael Haydn Medal in 2013.
