Although Audrius is not the most spiritual person – celebrating decadence and hedonism – he’s had tried Buddhist Vipassana, rebirthing and some other Indian meditation techniques. Yet nothing worked nearly as good as few hours of well selected deep techno.
Yes, that deep techno… The kind of techno, which frees your mind to wander around while your body unconsciously moves to the monotonous rhythms. The kind of techno, to which you suddenly wake up, surprised, amongst dancing people and blinking lights in the middle of the club, thinking, where the fuck the last 20 minutes have disappeared. The kind of techno that makes you write cheesy-trancey paragraphs like this and still doesn’t make you feel guilty. Yep, good old deep techno. Growing up surrounded by Bach symphonies, “Dead Can Dance” and “Massive Attack,” courtesy of his parents, Audrius already was deep into music as a teenager. He discovered techno and drum&bass at 15, obscure Lithuanian industrial scene at 19 and being 22 he started showcasing his extensive ambient collection at various Lithuanian festivals. By the time he discovered his gurus Abdulla Rashim, Claudio PRC and Dino Sabatini, he already had several years of deejaying experience. But only then he merged his love for ambient and love for techno into seamless sets, which combined banging kicks with slow ambient drones and repetitive hypnotizing loops. By now Audrius has performed at most of the most important Lithuania’s clubs and festivals, shared decks with his inspirer Claudio PRC, played some pretty long sets, finishing just in time for a brunch and defined distinctive sound of his sets. And now, as all the cheesy people say – let his mixes speak for themselves.
