From 1988 to 1992, he studied at Klaipėda's Stasys Šimkus Conservatory. Consistently from 1992 to 2002, he studied in the main part of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and since 2002 has been a lecturer at the Academy's Department of Vocal Studies. Special courses: in 1998, at the Dutch music session with Professor Christina Deutekom and Professor Henk Smith; in 2000 in Baden with Professor Ralf Dioring; and in 2002 at the Mozarteum with Professor Lilian Sukis. In 1991, he became the second prize winner in the first Republican B. Grincevičiūtė Singers' Competition. In 2000, he was the only prize winner in the V. Jonušaitė-Zauniene Competition. In 2003 and 2005, he was awarded a diploma "For Professional and Creative Performance" in an international student concertmaster competition. In 2004, he was awarded a scholarship from LNOBT Fund, and he was also awarded the Saerbeck Town Hall Jubilee Medal "For the Promotion and Presentation of Lithuanian Culture in Germany."
