Organist and Doctor Aušra Motūzaitė-Pinkevičienė is a popularizer of historical performance practices, specializing in 17th century Northern German organ masters and J.S. Bach. She is a graduate of the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in organ performance, as well as Eastern Michigan University (USA), where she successfully earned a Master's Degree in Humanities, and also the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA), where she earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the 18th century Königsberg organ-builder A.G. Casparini and his organs. A. Motūzaitė-Pinkevičienė is a multiple recipient of prestigious competitions and awards, including the Best Performer competition at Eastern Michigan University in 2003. She is also a participant in international festivals, organ masterclasses, and academies in Sweden, the Netherlands, the USA and other countries. Along with her husband, Dr. V.Pinkevičius, the organist frequently performs organ duets and during the pandemic, delighting her followers with video recordings and concerts on her YouTube channel. Currently, A. Motūzaitė-Pinkevičienė teaches at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in the music theory department, and is also a university organist at Vilnius University, leading the VU organ study "Unda Maris" together with Vidus Pinkevičius.
