Tenor Bekhzod Davronov makes his National Theatre Opera debut in December 2023 as Rodolfo (La bohème). Born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Bekhzod Davronov was the Second Prize winner at Operalia 2021. Since April 2018 he has been a member of the ensemble at The Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow, where his highlights include the roles of Almérik (Iolanta), Alfredo (La traviata), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Rodolfo (La bohème), The Yuródivyy (Boris Godunov), Lykov (The Tsar’s Bride) and Prince Sinodal (The Demon). He has also guest appeared as Rodolfo (La bohème) on the Glyndebourne Festival Opera Tour, Anatol Kuragin (War and Peace) at the Bavarian State Opera and Aljeja (The House of the Dead) at Ruhrtriennale Festival. This season 2023/24 will see Bekhzod make a series of debuts including Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Alfredo Germont (La traviata) at Santa Fe Opera and Prunier (La rondine) at the Metropolitan Opera, New York in March 2024. On the concert platform, Bekhzod will sing a concert version of Iolanta with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London and Norma with the Boston Youth Symphony.
