Christian Frattima began playing the violin when he was just four years old and has amazed everyone with his talent ever since. He held his first concert at the age of twelve, in which he performed difficult pieces such as N. Paganini's Cantabile, op. 17. By constantly participating in competitions, Christian has earned more than one award, and in 2003 he received a prestigious award from the Italian government. In 2005, he began studying conducting in Sofia, Bulgaria with Deyan Pavlov, continuing his studies in 2006 with Ennio Nicotra and participating in international master classes. In 2007, he started studying with Professor Juozas Domarkas, and in 2010 became the conductor of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre. He has performed with well-known orchestras in Vilnius, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Riga. Christian has conducted the national premieres of W. A. Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" and G. Verdi's "Otello". He is the music director of Italy's baroque opera company "Coin du Roi", has released over 10 monographs in English, Italian, and Lithuanian, and regularly performs with symphony orchestras. He enjoys great popularity with the public and recognition from critics.
