Born in 1959.1972-1979 - studied at the Art Department of the Art School of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. From 1979 to 1984 he studied television directing at the State Conservatoire (now the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre; head of the course Algimantas Galinis).From 1984 to 1991 he worked as a director and artist at the Vilnius theatre "Lėlė". 1986-1988, consulted for the creators of the Lithuanian television series "Children's Puppet Theatre", hosted the programmes. 1989 - 1992 - Chairman of the Puppeteers Section of the Lithuanian Theatre Union.
Since 2007 he has been the head of the Living Puppet Museum of Vilnius Theatre "Lėlė", organises and curates exhibitions, organises educational programmes. He was the founder of the Theatre of Celebrations (1994-1998). He has created productions for Lithuanian television, Vilnius Lėlė Theatre, Kaunas State Puppet Theatre, Panevėžys Puppet Carriage Theatre, Lithuanian State Academic Drama Theatre, Vilnius Old Town Theatre, Puppet Theatre "Berniukas Žirniukas" of the National Martynas Mažvydas Library, Puppet Theatre "Baj" in Warsaw, Puppet Theatre "Maska" in Rzeszów, Poland, Puppet Theatre "Maska" in Tallinn, Estonia. He has directed radio plays and published articles on the history of theatre. Member of many juries. Since 2004 - member of the Lithuanian National UNIMA Centre.

2003 International Festival "Katowice - for Children" (Poland) prize for the stage design of the play "The Widow Elenytė and Joniukas aviniukas" (Vilnius theatre "Lėlė");
