After graduating from the J. Naujalis Art School, she studied art history at the State Art Institute (now the Lithuanian Academy of Arts) from 1979-1984, worked at the M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum from 1984, and at the same time taught art history at the Kaunas branch of the Academy of Arts, at the Higher School of Art, and since 2004 has been a lecturer of art management at the VU Kaunas Faculty. In the field of museology and museum management, he has had internships in Denmark, Finland, Great Britain and the USA. After trying her hand at visitor services and education at the museum, in 1997, when the museum was granted national status, she became Deputy Director. In addition to her managerial work, she regularly produced museum publications, curated exhibitions, prepared museum displays, organised museum events, initiated a number of innovative projects, and regularly shared her knowledge of museum activities with Lithuanian museologists at lectures and seminars. The most notable projects include: the "Multidimensional Website of the National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum" (2000), the project "Lithuania and the World at the National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum Collections (CD-ROM) (2001), the exhibition "Jonas Prapuolenis (1900-1980) - Lithuanian Furniture Coryphaeus" (2000), the educational projects "Art + Art to Communicate" (2003, 2004), the EU-funded joint project "Developing the Competences and Capacities of 21st Century Museums" (2006-2008), project "The World According to Čiurlionis" (2010), the exhibition "Mirabilé Visu/ It's Amazing to See" (2011), the publication "Strokes of History" (2011), the publication "Stories of Collections" (2013), the children's book "I Went Out with Čiurlionis. I'll be back soon" (2014), the exhibition-action-installation "Labdariai.LT" (2017), the exhibitions "Old Lithuanian Art of the 14th-19th centuries" (2019), "Archaika" (2020), "Lithuania of the Crosses".
