Darija Auguštan (Zagreb, 1996.) is currently the most wanted young Croatian singer and is a soloist at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. She graduated at the Zagreb Music Academy in the class of prof. Snježana Bujanović - Stanislav. Her lyric soprano is characterized by a very beautiful color, technical excellence and sonority, and is extremely pleasant for the listener. She is equally successful as an opera and concert artist. In 2019 she debuted at the CNT in Zagreb as the First lady in The Magic Flute by W. A. Mozart, from then forward she performed the roles of Fiordiligi, Sifare, Cendrillon, Grafin Maritza, Adele, Suor Angelica, Micaela, Magda de Civry etc. and even got distinguished awards for the roles of Lauretta and Pamina.
She regularly performs with the Zagreb Philharmonics, Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra and Choir. She often performs the works of Croatian authors, among which Croatian Mass by B. Papandopulo stands out, which she performed at almost all Croatian music festivals and recorded for the Croatian Radiotelevision. She also performs sacred works: Croatian Mass by B. Papandopulo, Stabat Mater - G.B. Pergolesi, Johannes-Passion and Markus-Passion J.S. Bach, Requiem and Great Mass in C minor - W.A. Mozart, Magnificat and Salve Regina - Z. Novačić. Furthermore, she regularly gives recitals with pianists such as Dora Iveković, Viktor Čižić, Danijel Gašparović and Vedran Janjanin.
She is the winner of numerous prizes and awards in national and international competitions. The first prize at Mikuláš Trnavsky, Zinka Milanov, Mario Orlandoni, Tullio Serafin and the second prize at Stanislaw Moniuszko and Virgilijus Noreika competitions.
She performed and worked with renowned artists such as Jan Latham Koenig, Marcello Mottadelli, Srba Dinić, Fabrizio Melano, Arnaud Bernard, Giampaolo Bisanti, Placido Domingo, Marta Domingo, Vittorio Grigolo etc.
In 2021 she debuted as Sifare in Mozart's Mitridate, re di Ponto at Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza then in 2023 in Teatro Verdi di Trieste with the role of Pamina in the Magicflute, in 2024 a Teatro Comunale di Bologna come Lauretta, segue il ruolo di Violetta in Francia, Antonia a Dusseldorf…and she has an international career performing in Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Estonia, etc.
