David Wnendt was born 1977 in Gelsenkirchen, West-Germany. He grew up in Islamabad, Miami, Brussels and the small German town of Meckenheim. After graduating from highschool he did internships in television and theatre. He did a one year filmmaking course in the Czech filmschool FAMU in Prague. In 2004 he began his studies in filmdirecting at the Filmschool “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
