Dean of the Faculty of Music, professor of the Department of Singing, completed bachelor's, master's and art postgraduate studies at LMTA. Singing was studied by prof. In Eduard Kaniava's class, chamber singing by prof. Sigutė Stonytė's singing class. In 2003-2004, he interned at LNOBT with prof. Virgiliu Noreika.
Deividas Staponkus is a laureate of international competitions, since 2004. is a guest soloist of the LNOBT opera. The soloist sang in: Armenia, Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Czech Republic, USA, Italy, Israel, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Sakartvel, Finland, Hungary, Germany.Conducted singing mastery classes: 2008 at the Weimar F. Liszt Higher Music School (Germany), 2010. at the Mannheim Academy of Music and Theater (Germany), 2015. Jazeps Vitols Academy of Music (Latvia), 2016 at the Prague University of Music and Theater (Czech Republic), 2016. at the L. Janaček Higher Music School in Brno (Czech Republic), 2014. and in 2018 at the P. Tchaikovsky Music School in Kaliningrad (Russia), 2019 Pavlodar Music College (Kazakhstan), 2019 at the University of Gothenburg Music and Drama Academy (Sweden), 2018-2019. led singing master classes at the international summer opera course "Oper Oder-Spree" (Germany), 2020 Baku Kara Karayev School of Arts (Azerbaijan), 2020 Batumi Art Teaching University (Sakartvel), 2021 taught by Jerusalem Opera Studio (Israel). From 2020 as a vocal pedagogue, he advises the soloists of the Klaipėda State Musical Theater.
