Dora Morelenbaum is a young vocalist, guitarist and songwriter who has been increasingly discussed in the Brazilian music media (and beyond) over the last few years, and who has also made a name for herself in a well-known Brazilian band.
Dora Morelenbaum is a member of Bala Desejo, a band formed by a group of friends during the pandemic, which quickly became a music sensation in the country, and won a Latin American Grammy Award, with her debut album "SIM SIM SIM" being voted the best contemporary pop album recorded in Portuguese. Outside the country, Dora Morelenbaum is pursuing a successful solo career with lighter, dreamier songs.
Her debut mini-album Vento De Beirada was well received, inviting the listener to immerse themselves in the sensual world of her music. Critics have noted that this recording demonstrates a new approach, but also a respect for the older generation of Brazilian stars, such as Gal Costa or Maria Bethania.
