D. Strimaitis started dancing at the age of 12, in 2015. enrolled in Bachelor of Dance studies at Codarts University in the Netherlands. Graduated from university in 2019, after training with choreographers Jitti Chompee, Jan Martens and Marina Mascarell. From 2019 D. Strimaitis is a dancer of the National Ballet of Marseille, which is led by the group La Horde. In theater he works with choreographers such as Alessandro Sciarroni, Lucinda Childs, Lasseindra Ninja, Tânia Carvalho and Oona Doherty.D. Strimaitis started his career as a choreographer at Codarts University. During his studies, he premiered the solo "Pendulum" (2018) and his graduation work "Still Waiting" (2018), which received the highest rating at the university and was performed in Rotterdam at the Schouwburg Theater in Rotterdam and the Korzo Theater in The Hague.in 2020 D. Strimaitis together with the Estonian choreographer Maarja Tõnisson presented the performance "Insula" during the MANIFESTA 13 festival in Marseille.in 2021 D. Strimaitis directed and choreographed Julijona Biveinytė's music video "last song". In the same year, he presented his solo work "The Art of Dance Creation" at the international contemporary dance festival "New Baltic Dance".
