The artist is a graphic designer, painter, and sculptor born in Kupiškis, who currently lives and creates in Vilnius. She studied graphic design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts from 1991-1995 and earned a master's degree in painting there in 2013. She has held exhibitions in Lithuania and has participated in international exhibitions in Nurmes, Koli Ryynanen (Finland), Tallinn, Frankfurt, New York, Rome, Salzburg, and Bucharest. The artist received scholarships from the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, and 2017. In 2011, she won the Kulturkontakt Nord competition, and in 2005, she was awarded the North Karelia Art Council Scholarship. Her works have been acquired by Lithuanian and foreign museums and private collectors. E. Kuckaitė has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prize at the V International Triennial Transfers in Prague in 2007, the IBBY Diploma for the most artistic children's book illustrations in Vilnius, and the Grand Prize at the XIII Tallinn Graphics Triennial In Exile in 2004.
