Elena Daunytė is a renowned cellist, who has received awards and Grand Prix prizes at various international competitions. She is a member of the family ensemble "Regnum Musicale", contemporary music ensemble "Synaesthesis" and piano trio "Tribus". Elena has appeared as a soloist or chamber music performer in many competitions, festivals and masterclasses. She has performed with various orchestras from Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Russia, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Hong Kong and the United States, conducted by maestros Modestas Pitrėnas, Sergey Krylov, Saulius Sondeckis, Martynas Staškus, Nicholas Simpson and Clarck Rundell.
Elena is actively collaborating with Lithuanian and Klaipeda chamber orchestras and is often invited to take concertmaster positions. For her active concert and competition activities, as well as for promoting the name of Lithuania abroad, the cellist has been awarded thanks from the Presidents of the Republic of Lithuania V. Adamkus and D. Grybauskaitė. Elena has also been awarded the Queen Morta Prize for her musical achievements.
Elena learned the basics of cello art at the M. K. Čiurlionis Art School, studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with expert teachers Romanas Armonas, Professor Nicholas Jones and Rimantas Armonas. She also improved her skills with G. Sollima, D. Gering, F. Helmerson, T. Svane, K. Georgian and other cello masters.
Elena actively collaborates with various music performers and groups, as well as participates in improvisation and creative processes. She also creates poetry and interprets the sonnets of A. Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" in Lithuanian. Elena is a highly experienced and talented cellist whose work is worthy of recognition and appreciation.
