Elsa Respighi was an Italian composer and a great lover of music who acted as her husband Ottorino Respighi's main representative of his works. She not only influenced the inclusion of Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the standard musical training taught at the Rome Conservatory, but also became acquainted with many contemporary composers.
