Emilija Statinaite

Emilija Statinaitė is curious and inquisitive in the country's cultural field, both as a creator and as a coordinator of processes. Since 2014, Statinaitė has been involved in exploring and fostering the country's cultural field as a volunteer (in the music festivals Purpurinis vakaras, Tai - I, Tilto namai festival, etc. In 2019, E. Statinaitė became an alumna of the Saulės Private Gymnasium and enrolled in and graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Curatorial Studies. During her studies, she not only became more familiar with the peculiarities and historical contexts of the cultural and artistic field, but also acquired specific skills in organising exhibitions, and developed the ability to write critical texts on performing and visual arts. Since 2023, she has been a member of the Nepatogus Kinas festival team, contributing to the coordination of the festival, the fostering of the community project NK-DOKU and the implementation of the audio festival Banguoja. In her daily work, she tries to respond to the needs of the groups of people she encounters and to offer quality, useful and community-building activities. As one of the important goals she strives to foster, Statinaitė identifies the cultivation of empathy through the encounter with reality in an artistic environment, and she continuously tries to follow this idea in her various forms of activities.
