Toledano has been working as a film director and screenwriter since the mid-1990s. To date, he has been involved in more than ten film productions. In 2012, he was nominated for a César in the categories Best Director, Best Film and Best Original Screenplay together with Olivier Nakache for the film Pretty Best Friends. He was also nominated with Nakache in these three categories for Life is a Celebration and Everything but Ordinary. In 2021, he conceived the series In Therapy with Nakache, where he contributed to the scripts of several episodes.
