1987-1993 studied composition at the Lithuanian Academy of Music (class of Vytautas Barkauskas), 1995-1996. at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (K. A. Rasmussen's class). in 1997 received a master's degree in music from the Lithuanian Academy of Music. 1991-1993 at the radio station "Radiocentras" he hosted jazz and contemporary music shows and was the program director. 1996-2002 taught at the M.K. Čiurlionis Arts Gymnasium, 1992-1995. and since 2002 teaches at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. He wrote the books "Fundamentals of Jazz Improvisation" (2000), "Jazz History" (with others, 2001). He created pieces for orchestra, vocals, choir, etc., music for movies, video installations, produced music albums. Knight of the Order of the Orange-Nassau Dynasty of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (2008).
