in 1975 graduated from Kaunas J. Gruodis Higher School (Giedrius Kuprevičius composition class), 1980 – composition studies at the Lithuanian State Conservatory (class of Eduard Balsis). 1979-1989 worked as the head of the Music Department at the Vilnius Theater "Lėlė", 1989-1991. director of this theater. 1991-1995 Head of the Music Department of the Vilnius Small Theater, 1995-1996. art director, 2000-2005 one of the managers. 1996-1997 Director of the Lithuanian State Academic Drama Theater. 1996 and 2005-2006 - Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, 1997-1999. - State consultant on cultural issues, since 2006. advisor to the prime minister. 1999-2000 was the general director of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. He created works for orchestra, solo instruments, vocals, choir, musical art, documentaries and television films. Died in 2020 November 3
