Frances Pappas is a Greek-Canadian mezzo-soprano with extensive experience in both classical opera and contemporary music, as well as Greek and Turkish popular, academic and folk music. Her career has included leading roles such as Carmen, Octavian and Maria from the opera Wocek. Frances has performed at prestigious festivals and venues such as the Salzburg Festival, the Schwöttingen Festival and the Vienna Festival, and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Dave Brubeck and Mikis Theodorakis. She has been a soloist with major orchestras and has appeared on Bavarian Radio, BBC Radio and CBC Radio. Frances is also co-founder of Bridging Arts, a project that is recognised for its contribution to music and community arts.
