Gabija Maknavičiūtė started learning piano specialty at the age of seven. Then she entered the Klaipėda Eduardas Balsys Arts Gymnasium, where she studied in the class of the methodologist Valentinas Potejenko. Here she performed for the first time with the Mažoji Lietuva Symphony Orchestra in 2007. Later Gabija continued her studies at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in Vilnius, where her piano teacher was the associate professor and expert Albina Šikšniūtė. It was here that she won her first international competition laurels in St. Petersburg, taking the 3rd place in Russia. Since then, Gabija's career has been successful and she has participated in about 20 international and national competitions. In 2013, 2014, and 2018 Gabija was awarded letters of appreciation by the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė. Meanwhile, from 2014 to 2017, she was awarded the acknowledgements of the Mayor of Klaipėda, Vytautas Grubliauskas, and in the spring of 2018, she was awarded the Young Performer Prize from the Ministry of Culture for her achievements in 2017. Gabija is the initiator and artistic director of the International Festival of Impressions (2014, 2017). Currently, she is a third-year student in the piano class of Zbignevas Ibelgauptas at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
