Gianluca Sodaro was born in Sicily on Christmas Eve and graduated from the Milan Academy of Fine Arts and Design (NABA). He is a filmmaker and director, photographer and writer.
During his film career, he has worked with very famous composers such as Angelo Badalamenti and Rachel Portman. His films have been screened and awarded at festivals all over the world.
In 2013, God's Got His Head in the Clouds (What God Thinks of Himself) won the Lithuanian Silver Crane Award for the "Best Short Film of the Year".
As a photographer, he has exhibited works from the Ageless - Dolls have time to waste project at the Meno Nisha Contemporary Art Gallery in Vilnius (2016) and the Gloria Delson Contemporary Arts Gallery in Los Angeles (2016). His most recent project Sante ma donne was exhibited at Castelbuono (Italy), FotoFever Photography in Paris (2019), GAM Contemporary Art Gallery in Catania (Italy) and MIA Photography Fair in Milan (Italy).
