I was born in the middle of the last century in Kaunas district, near Nevėžis. I tried to study very well, maybe to be noticed or to please my parents. It was considered "frivolous" to study art, so I chose exact sciences. I graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at Vilnius University. I taught mathematics to children for a couple of years, then worked as an engineer for ten years.
I used to sing folk songs, and I used to make Easter Easter eggs - an old family tradition. During the independence period, I started working at the Folk Art Department of the State M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum. I felt at home - as if everything was familiar and familiar. I have been here for over thirty years.
