207 Collective is a young, but constantly developing modern jazz quartet from Kaunas, formed in 2021. The collective of musicians, who are perfecting their own programmes and searching for the finest nuances, reveals themselves through improvisational diversity, integration of rhythmic innovations, dynamism and uniqueness. The quartet's performances are energetic and contrasting. The quartet was founded by Tadas Petkevičius-Grajauskas. From the beginning until the end of 2022, the group played jazz tradition and standards, and changes came to the ensemble in 2023, when the group was drawn towards a more modern performance of jazz music. Since the autumn of last year, the development of the group's vision and concept has been taken over from T. Petkevičius-Grajauskas by the drummer Julijus Sipavičius, and the leadership role has been given to the saxophonist Kęstutis Malskis. The ensemble's pianist Deividas Pileckas and bassist Vytautas Kavoliūnas are excellent and talented jazz musicians. The quartet was a finalist in the Vilnius Jazz Young Power 2023 competition, received the nomination for "Best Interpretation of a Standard", and this year also made it to the festival finals. The quartet has also formed links with other jazz groups and performers and has participated in the Jonava, Linkuva, Panevėžys, Birštonas, Kaunas and Vilnius Jazz Festivals.
