Lithuanian alternative rock/electronic music band, founded in the autumn of 1983 by tenth graders of Vilnius 18th High School. The first concert took place in November 1983, the last concert was on 17 May 1997 in Vilnius, on the Vingis Park stage.
The only constant member, as well as the author of most of the songs, was the vocalist Andrius Mamontovas. The line-up of the band was constantly changing until 1992, when the band reappeared in its early line-up, but with a new bass guitarist.
After the band disbanded, Andrius Mamontovas continued his solo career, and was accompanied by Andrius Lukosius until 2013. After the break-up, the band members had little contact with each other, but would get together for Foje events. The first time after the break-up, all four members met at the presentation of Donatas Ulvydas' film about the band, Foje filme 14, and the second time at the presentation of the best songs album Paveikslas. In 2013, the former band members performed together on the 30th anniversary concert tour "AM + Foje = 30" of A. Mamontovas. According to Kriščiūnas, the last hopes of Foje's revival collapsed after this tour.
In 2015, Kriščiūnas, Lukošius and Burokas formed the band PYPL, where they played together with the journalist and writer Akvile Kavaliauskaite, and also experimented with the singer Migloko. The group was short-lived. In 2017, the former members of Foje formed a new band, called Kiti kambariai (Other Rooms), at the suggestion of Kriščiūnas, with former Flamingo leader Žilvinas Sebeika as the lead vocalist.
