JUODVARNIS started its journey in 2011. Paulius Simanavičius - vocals, guitar, Modestas Juškėnas - guitar, Linas Kulbačiauskas - bass, Gediminas Tumėnas - drums. In 2013, the band recorded their debut album "Šauksmai Iš Praeities", which was released in March 2014 by the Russian record label "Der Schwarze Tod". Inspired by the majesty of nature and the universe, the musicians delved into primarily Lithuanian mythology and historical legacy. Through the prism of all this, JUODVARNIS began to create its own mythology, its own saga, which reveals the things that are in every human being. All the things that tear us apart, that heal us, that make us hate or love, are buried in the songs of JUODVARNIS. 

In 2014 the band took part in the Lithuanian final of the Wacken Metal Battle competition and won the final of the competition, and they represented Lithuania in the international final of the competition at a festival in Germany. 

In the second half of 2014, the band was left by the co-founder, drummer Gediminas. The new drummer is Augustinas, who joined the band with endless desire and energy. The band is currently preparing a new album.
