The student theatre at KU was legalised in 2018, after the Faculty of Arts separated from KU, but theatre in one form or another has existed at the university for over four decades. The theatre is directed by theatre scholar, director-pedagogue Dr. Jūratė Grigaitienė, and assistant professor Virginija Kochanskytė, who is a stage language consultant and project coordinator, is a renowned actor and event host.
Theatre activities at KU are attended by students from various faculties and specialities. The theatre is an excellent medium for young people to express themselves, develop their creative and communication skills.
