Calling their genre Primal-core, KUNTARI have continuously experimented with primitive voices, derived from animal mating calls, mixed with variations of Indonesian tribal beats. The music developed a percussive primitive sound combined with a dark atmosphere, a solid two-person unit and a solid body with intense dynamics of ancient rhythms. Their live performances create an organic, raw, untamed and wild approach.

KUNTARI has collaborated with many mixed genre musicians such as Rully Shabara, Arthur Hnatek, Morgue Vanguard, Jonas Engel, Dirk Wachtelaer, Luigi Monteanni, Yuji Ishihara and Yasushi Yoshida.
