The "Daugava" chorus was founded in 1956. The first leader of the collective was Staņislavs Broks, later it was led by Terēzija Broka, Pēteris Trulis, Harijs Kraulis, Silvija Sudņika and Edgars Znutiņš. In 1996, the artistic collective was led by Jevgeņijs Ustinskovs and conducted by Alīna Lapinska. Young people and adults from Daugavpils educational institutions are also part of the Kora. We also compose a wide repertoire - from works by Renaissance authors to compositions of the 21st century. The collective actively participates in various events and projects, cooperates with the Daugavpils theater, performed in Latvijas Radio 2 survey "Muzikālā banka" award ceremony. Koris is a laureate of more than 30 international competitions, and one of the biggest achievements of the choir is the silver and gold medals of the World Choir Olympics in Sochi (Russia). The collective performed in Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Italy, North Macedonia, Hungary, Great Britain, Sweden, Spain. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays. The artistic director of the chorus is Jevgeņijs Ustinskovs, the conductor is Alīna Lapinska.
