The Panevėžys String Quartet combines experience and enthusiasm! In the arsenal of four talented musicians - Asta Striogaitė-Puodžiūnienė, Diana Labudienė, Lina Viningienė and Roko Vizbara, there are pearls of classical music and more. The repertoire includes music from various eras, genres and styles. Entertainment and jazz compositions are played at the quartet's concerts. Every year, the collective prepares even several programs of various kinds, in which colleagues from Lithuania and abroad appear together. The quartet takes an active part in the cultural life of Lithuania, organizes a cycle of sacred music concerts in Lithuanian churches every year, performs at festivals, exhibitions, city birthdays, goes to schools and kindergartens with educational programs, participates in festivals ("St. Cecilijai", "On the Cathedral Steps", "Bistrampolios festival", "Heaven proclaims the glory of God", "Poetry Spring"). The collective is not limited to the horizons of Lithuania - solo concerts of the string quartet were held in Poland, Latvia, and Sweden.
The collective gathered in 1997. At that time, Inga Ūsienė (1st violin), Diana Labudienė (2nd violin), Lina Sutkienė (viola) and Liubovė Orlova (cello) played in it. Until then, the women played in the then Panevėžys Chamber Orchestra, but the search for broader self-expression and the desire to perform as diverse music as possible brought them together in a quartet. Over time, the composition of the group changed a little, Girdutis Jakaitis (1st violin), Gintaras Lukoševičius (cello) and Sigita Sičiūnienė (viola) also played in it. In 2005, the string quartet became a collective of the Panevėžys Musical Theater.
