During the 35 years of creative activity of the Plungė Culture Centre, the children and youth folk dance ensemble "Žirginėliai" has won prizes in republican competitions, prizes in various reviews, and international children's festivals.
In 2016, the ensemble won first place in the category of folk dance at the Republican folk dance competition "Aguonėlė".

In 2017 in the republican folk music and dance competition "Šoktinis 2017" also won 1st place and nomination "For the best directorial decision".
In 2017 in the republican folk song and dance competition "Jievaro tiltas" won 3rd place.
In 2019 in the republican folk dance competition "Aguonėlė" in the category of ensembles won 1st place.
We see the ensemble at every Song Festival, city events. Not only at home, but it has visited and enchanted the folk art lovers of many European countries with its concerts - Poles, Slovenians, Germans, Belgians, Swedes, Turks, Macedonians, Latvians, Greeks, Ukrainians, Cypriots, Cypriots, Cypriots, Moroccans, Croatians, Spaniards, Spaniards...
All the children and young people who participate in the ensemble understand and appreciate the art of folk. This is the artistic direction in which the ensemble is currently led by the artistic director Sonata Kazlauskytė and the band director Rita Džiaugienė.
Now there are 5 dancing groups. Children and young people from 6 to 18 years old dance. For them the ensemble is the best way to spend their free time, they come to rehearsals after school.
All children and young people dancing in the ensemble go through life with love for the ensemble, enriching the ensemble itself with their sincerity and energy.
