Rokas Kašėta is a musician from the Varėna district.
His band plays dzūkodelika, a modern musical creation in the Dzūkija dialect and Dzūkija world music. The idea and aim of the rock is to build a bridge between this dialect and modern forms of musical expression, thus giving new life to the dialect.
In the rock art, dialect singing, inspired by Dzūkija folk songs, Dzūkija culture and nature, takes on new shapes and modern ways of artistic expression. Here, singing poetry, reggae, rap, Dzuki folklore, bosanova and other genres are intertwined.
