Selah Collective plays original Mediterranean jazz infused with authentic flavours from all over the world. Rooted & grounded in Israel, our musical influences include Avishai Cohen, Ibrahim Maalouf, Snarky Puppy and more. Our full official release ‘Belonging’ (LP) was released on January 18th, 2019. The album includes 8 original compositions. We are constantly playing across the country in various venues as a 5-piece music ensemble, featuring musical guests from the local and international scenes.

Plans for 2024 include the release of our 2nd album, as well as appearances on several European festivals (TBA). Previous notable appearances include Kaunas Jazz Festival (2019), Ashdod Jazz Series in Klang (2019) as well as multiple participations in the “Divercities” festival (2018) in Grenoble, France. The group was founded in 2009 by Slava Shoolman (Bass/Arrangements) & Daniel Rososki (Piano/Composition) and has been playing with the current personnel since late 2016. Selah Collective’s dynamic sound is also built around guest appearances by top players of the local & global scene. Recurrent flavours are the Oud, Sax and unique vocalists.
