Tra Noi's approach is both experimental and historically informed: As early music specialists, the musicians are also open to contemporary sounds and combine the world of early music with those of the present in varied concert programmes and new concert formats. Only formed as an ensemble at the beginning of 2023, Tra Noi is already the winner of the "Wiener Konzerthauspreis" of the H.I.F.-Biber Competition and the Audience Prize of the Biagio Marini Competition.
"In light-woven, bright, transparent-virtuoso sound texture, they not only thrilled with an "Overture" by Giovanni Battista Buonamente, the canzone "La Gallina" (The Hen) by Tarquinio Merula, a Monteverdi aria in the conflict between freedom and cage, with Irish folklore and even a sung excerpt from Purcell's opera "Dido and Aeneas", but let cackling, birdsong and other animal sounds arise on their instruments as well as on clay pipes in an effectively sophisticated way."
