The founder of the band, K, returned from emigration and started to develop the idea of playing again and founding a new black/thrash metal project based on the ideas and canons of the time. So in the autumn of 2012, the first line-up of the band was formed with drummer V. and bassist G. After various changes of vocalists, vocalist L. finally joined the band and a second guitarist T. (ex-INHERITAGE) also joined the team. It was decided to start under the name DIVISION.
After half a year the band had already released their first demo "Fall Of Nations". It is a 21-minute black/thrash metal tale about human decadence from two perspectives. Post-apocalyptic visions of the future and the barbaric destructiveness of the past. The band's first demo was a small glimpse of a creative vision yet to be revealed in the future.
In the summer of 2013, due to internal disagreements, the guitarist T. (INHERITAGE) left the band and was replaced by a new guitarist A. The renewed line-up has greatly diversified and strengthened the band's creative process.
After long rehearsals, creativity and self-discovery, in December 2013 the band crawled into one of the studios of the Academy of Music to prepare a new release. On 22 February, the band debuted in their first concert at "Supuvusie hole" ("Kably") with PERDOZATOR, LIVING ALTAR, ZLP GNR. On the first of March the band released their new album "Perpetual Cycle Of Absolution" under the name SISYPHEAN.
SISYPHEAN takes its name from the Greek myth of Sisyphus, which is a very apt reflection of the absurdity of humanity's morality. Throughout the millennia, man has continued to create and try to understand his true existence, while at the same time destroying everything he creates. Man is a creature who strives for perfection in his existence, so he masks his mistakes with various idols, new morals and dogmas. In this way, he also glorifies his own downfall. Mankind is like Sisyphus, forever rolling a stone uphill. Mankind is rolling its existence down the road of eternity towards meaninglessness.
