Choras "Apuolė" is the oldest, longest-lasting collective in Skuodas district, which has existed since 1950. During these years not only the time itself has changed, the leaders and members have changed, but the love of Skuodas residents for song, music, the desire to foster choral music and to promote the name of Skuodas in Lithuania and abroad has never faded.
The group participates not only in regional events, but also in all Republican Song Festivals (Vilnius), Song Festivals of the Western Lithuania Region (Klaipėda), sacred music concerts (Skuodas, since 2004), choir festivals in Pakruojis ("Beauštanti aušrelė"), Kretinga ("Aš atidarysiu dainų skrynelę"), Akmenė, Plunge, and Nica (Latvia).
The choir can offer a wide range of repertoire for events and city festivals: from folk songs, romances to classical choral and sacred music or repertoire for song festivals.
The choir is pleased to have received the 2nd grade diploma at the Lithuanian adult choir competition in 2017, and the 2nd grade diploma in the Republic of Lithuania in the 2018 auditions to the Song Festival "In the name of the..." This is a recognition of the choir and its director's hard work and efforts.
