LNSO conductor since the 2014-2015 season. While successfully conducting LNSO concerts, he cooperates a lot with the Sinfonietta Rīga and Sinfonia Concertante orchestras, Liepaja JVLMA orchestra, worked at the Latvian Orchestra Festival in the summer of 2018. Ādolfs Skulte Symphony no. 5 The performance of Guntis Kuzma and LNSO in January 2018 became the best symphonic music concert in Latvia.
Guntis is a Jāzeps Vītols professor at the Latvian Academy of Music and head of the Woodwind instrument class. Woodwind is the principal clarinet of the LNSO from 2008 to 2014, the principal clarinet of the Sinfonietta Rīga from the formation of the orchestra in 2006 to 2015.
Guntis participates in chamber music projects. He is a fan of modern music, he has performed several premieres of new works on the clarinet. He was nominated for the Latvian Grand Music Award in 2012 for outstanding work with the ensemble.
