Already at the age of 15, Hanne Kuhlmann was enrolled at the Jutland Conservatory of Music in Aarhus. Later, after several years of teaching at the conservatory by cathedral organist Anders Riber, she sought out other capitals to develop further. This led to study stays in Paris and London, which through the 90s made her such a skilled musician that she won several international organ competitions. In Copenhagen, she had by then been accepted into the soloist class at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music and studied with Prof. Hans Fagius.
In 2008 she was employed as 2nd organist in Our Lady's Church - Copenhagen Cathedral. And four years later she got a position here as court organist.
Since 1990, Hanne Kuhlmann has played concerts in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, England, Holland, Russia, France, Lithuania and Serbia, i.a. in Nidaros Cathedral, Finlandia Hall, Westminster Abbey, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, St. Bavo Kerk in Haarlem and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
