Prof. Hermann Pallhuber initially received his musical training at the conservatories in Innsbruck and Vienna (piano, trombone, conducting ensembles) and then studied music education (music education) at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and Innsbruck with a focus on conducting ensembles and choirs, trombone and piano . He also completed his studies in classical philology (Latin) at the University of Innsbruck. After teaching and conducting from 1994 to 2004 at grammar schools, music schools, at the teacher training college in Tyrol and at the University of Innsbruck, he continued his composition and conducting studies at the music colleges in Zurich and Augsburg, where he majored in "conducting - wind orchestra conducting & Instrumentation” with an artistic diploma from the Nuremberg-Augsburg University of Music.
For many years, Hermann Pallhuber was the artistic director of professional and semi-professional wind ensembles and wind orchestras (Wind Music Project of the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, Three Lions Brass Band Stuttgart, Brass Band Tirol, Symphonic Wind Orchestra Innsbruck-Land, Tiroler Wind Philharmonic, Symphonic Winds Tyrol, etc.), with whom he was able to achieve much acclaimed success in a busy concert schedule. In addition, from 2001 to 2016 he designed and moderated specialist programs for brass band music on the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). Hermann Pallhuber works internationally as a guest conductor, juror, composer and lecturer for wind orchestras. His compositions are published by Faber Music London and Beriato (De Haske / Hal Leonard).
Hermann Pallhuber has been teaching in Germany since 2009, initially at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, where he was appointed honorary professor for wind orchestra conducting in 2013.
Since 2011, in addition to his teaching activities in Germany, he has been leading a wind orchestra conducting class at the Tyrolean State Conservatory.
In October 2016, Hermann Pallhuber accepted a professorship for conducting and direction of wind orchestras at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim.
