South Korean pianist Hyerin Youk started playing the piano at the age of 4, and has studied both in South Korea and Germany. From 2022, he will study at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under the direction of Prof. Peep Lassmann. Hyerin Youk was one of the winners of the Heljo Sepa Piano Competition in 2022, won 3rd place in the professional category at the "International Piano Olympics, Choir Festival and Art Competition" in 2023, and has also won prizes at several piano competitions in South Korea. In autumn 2023, Youk will be a candidate for the Isang Yun Competition and the Frechilla-Zuloaga International Piano Competition. Youk has attended masterclasses with André Boainain, Mati Mikalai and Hande Dalkılıç.
