Swiss, trained in Hamburg and Stuttgart, worked as a set and costume designer for plays and operas in Augsburg, Kiel, Bremen, Mannheim, Kassel, Cologne, Vienna, Zurich and Berlin. Productions by the Deutsche Oper Berlin with Götz Friedrich were also shown in Tel Aviv and Japan. With Günter Krämer she developed the costumes for Poulenc's DIALOGUES OF THE CARMELITES at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and in Cologne, THE RISE AND FALL OF THE CITY OF MAHAGONNY in Berlin as well as Halevy's LA JUIVE at the Vienna State Opera, in Tel Aviv, at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and one new version for the opera in Vilnius.At the Deutsche Oper Berlin she took part in the productions of LUISA MILLER, BORISGODUNOW, THE ROSE CAVALIER, A MASKED BALL, THE FLYING DUTCHMAN,GALTHEE, THE BEAUTIFUL or Enescus OEDIPE involved. For the Children's Music Theater she created the set for COUNTING + TELLING together with the composer Mauricio Kagel and the director Dagny Student.She has a teaching position at the Technical University of Berlin.Isabel Ines Glathar is currently designing the costumes for BIEDERMANN AND THE BRANDSTIFTER by Max Frisch for Torsten Fischer at the Schauspielhaus Köln.
