João Filipe is a talented musician who gained notoriety as an instrumentalist in Viola de Fado.
Born into a family of fado singers, he begins to sing fado very small and, in a self-taught way, learns to play classical guitar.
Later he reinforces his musical formation and assumes Viola de Fado as his main artistic expression.
Recognized as one of the great talents of the new generation of Fado, regularly accompanies the greatest interpreters on the national and international stages and in the main Fado houses of Lisbon.
Parallel to the career of a professional musician, he is a classical viola trainer in schools in the Lisbon region.
